Vanquest Maximizer Organiser

Vanquest Maximizer Organiser | EDC Husky Pouch

The Vanquest Maximizer Organiser has been my go-to emergency bag and EDC (everyday carry) for the past 3 months. I’ve used several different combinations including stuff sacks and pouches but settled on this organiser after using it on several hiking and day walk trips.

After watching countless Youtube videos on different set-ups, I purchased the Vanquest Maximizer on eBay from the US. The bag arrived quickly and was impressed with the quality of the build. My old set-up consisted of small mesh bags and stuff sacks to organise my emergency gear, tools and bits and pieces I carried on a day walk or overnight hike. I already had a separate bag that consisted of Bear Grylls Ultimate Survival Kit. Plus organisers to store spare batteries and other hiking gear.

I decided to ditch all these bags and combine them into one awesome organiser that I could carry for any outing. Now when I head out on day walks, overnight hikes, mountain biking or fishing trips, the Vanquest Maximizer is included in my overall carry bag.

How to attach Vanquest Maximizer Organiser

Vanquest the company that makes the pouch recommends the following carry options:

  • MOLLE Sticks #99MS5X4
  • MOHL-Air adapter panel #017700
  • 1″ UNIVERSAL STRAP #012001 to carry over the shoulder

I prefer to use simple Velcro straps on the outer bag and secure it with a carabiner. Additionally, you can place it on your belt or attach it via a loop system on the side of your existing bag.

The main idea behind my set-up of this bag was to keep everything organised and easy to find in a neat pouch. The items chosen in the bag are standard hiking emergency gear as well as everyday items I may need while out and about. Ideally, you would want to carry this bag on your hip wherever you went in the bush just in case you were separated from your main hiking bag. In terms of survival, this bad has limited gear for that purpose. The bag has no food or first aid gear. (They are included in my main hiking bag). If I designed this bag purely for survival, these would be included as well as a light tarp for some shelter. This bag works for me. If designing your own bag, make sure it fits your needs.

If you have any suggestions or comments on my load-out please let me know. I would love to compare this kit to others. Listed below is a summary of all items currently in my EDC Vanquest Maximizer Organiser.
